Truesdale shines as Chamuel, the new divine, archangel in town and if there wasn't a cataclysmic conflict tearing heaven and earth asunder, he'd try the nachos at that mall kiosk. "God's Favorite Idiot," which premieres this spring, reunites Truesdale with McCarthy nearly 15 years after wrapping their award winning, iconic series "Gilmore Girls." Additional recent credits for Truesdale include appearing in the award nominated film "My Salinger Year" (IFC Films) opposite Sigourney Weaver and Margaret Qualley which opened the Berlin Film Festival, "Curb Your Enthusiasm" for HBO (where he played Lin-Manuel Miranda's agent) and is a part of the ongoing murder mystery franchise "Fallen Angels Murder Club" for Lifetime opposite Toni Braxton. The show follows four male best friends in their 50's trying to stay relevant in today's life. Truesdale may be best known for his starring role opposite Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, and Melissa McCarthy as the opinionated, sarcastic, and good-hearted concierge of the Independent Inn, Michel Gerard, on the critically acclaimed, iconic series "Gilmore Girls." The role garnered Truesdale much critical acclaim, even landing him on the Variety 10 Actors to Watch list opposite Ryan Gosling and Jennifer Garner. The series was revived by Netflix in 2016 for four special episodes under the title "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life," which brought Truesdale back into homes as Michel, for ecstatic fans. Born and raised in Montreal, Truesdale launched his acting career at just 17 years old when he joined the National Theatre School of Canada, where he was accepted to study and fine tune his craft. Upon graduation at 19, he began a robust acting career across Canada. One of his first big breaks was a starring role in "He Shoots, He Scores" a popular Canadian series about hockey. He went on to work for six years on a series entitled "The Duval Family," and in 1998 was nominated for his first Gemini Award (the Canadian Emmys) for Best Acting - Comedy Series or Special for his performance in the sitcom "Majeurs et Vaccinés." The series was a critical hit throughout Canada, with Truesdale portraying the only Black child in a while family. Truesdale then starred in "Mauvais Karma" which landed him his second Gemini nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy. While his star power was growing in Canada, Truesdale desired to relocate and work in the states, so he moved to New York City where he studied at the renowned Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Truesdale's very first audition in Los Angeles was for the role of Michel on "Gilmore Girls," a character he portrayed for 158 episodes. He has been starring in film and television projects, ever since.
