Tehmina Sunny is firmly making her mark in both film and television. Born in London, her passion for the arts was developed at an early age. She received a scholarship for playing the violin, Viola and piano. With no previous training she was a finalist for the BBCs cross-country search for acting talent. Sunny put her artistic dreams aside and attended the University of Leeds in England, where she studied Business Information Systems with an emphasis on Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science. This combined with marketing and business studies earned her a Bachelor of Science degree with honors. Tehmina's language skills as well as her ability to transition smoothly between British, American, Indian and Middle Eastern accents have given her a wide national appeal, thus allowing her to naturally carve a niche in the entertainment industry. Noticed by Oscar nominated director Roland Joffe, she was selected for his epic adventure 'The Lovers' with Josh Hartnett & appeared in Ben Affleck's Oscar winning film 'Argo'. Sunny was hand picked to play a futuristic underground gang member in the Oscar nominated project 'Children of Men', directed by Alfonso Cuaron working with Clive Owen & Julianne Moore. On the small screen, she has portrayed a retrospective of characters in Emmy award winning productions including, 24: Live Another Day, NCIS, CSI, Californication, Heroes, Undercovers, Aaron Sorkins' The Newsroom, ABC's Mistresses, Fox's The Following with Kevin Bacon & Vince Gilligan's Battle Creek, with Josh Duhamel.
