Rick Pagano began his career working at the Pittsburgh Public Theater, as Casting Director, Literary Manager, and Producer of New Plays. He then relocated to Los Angeles to cast for the Mark Taper Forum and Center Theater Group. He left in 1984 to start his own casting company. He has cast more than 80 feature films. His company has worked in television, casting such shows as "Altered Carbon," "The Blacklist," "24", "Picket Fences", and "Chicago Hope", winning two EMMY's for casting. Mr. Pagano has also cast over 100 productions for theater around the U.S. including the Mark Taper Forum, La Jolla Playhouse, Lincoln Center, and Broadway, including the original Tony-Award-winning production of "Big River." Mr. Pagano has written and directed ten of his own plays, as well as directing a film version of one, "Ten Tricks." He is currently at work on a film script of another play, "Hanging Alice," as well as a novelized version of the story. Mr. Pagano has a B.A. from Middlebury College and completed his doctoral studies in dramatic literature from Columbia University.
