He received the Fox Foundation Resident Actor Fellowship from Theatre Communications Group, the Thomas Barbour award for Playwriting and a Broadway World award for Best Actor for his performance in Thoughts of A Colored Man at Baltimore Center Stage. American Theatre magazine called him "a Theatre Worker You Should Know." He also was nominated for Best Actor by the Latino Short Film Festival for his performance in "10 Second Barrier."
