Reshma Pasupuleti is an Indian actress and model who works primarily in Tamil films and television series. Though she was born in India, Pasupuleti grew up in the United States. She graduated in computer science from Texas A&M University. Later, she did a course on software testing at the Amitysoft Software Institution in Chennai, India. Before becoming an actress, Pasupuleti was a flight cabin crew member with Delta Airlines in the US. She then came to India and worked as a newsreader for the Telegu Channel TV5, and hosting shows like Movie Mantra, Big Screens, Brilliant Mind, Hi5, and more. She also served as an English news broadcaster for E-News and Metro News. Pasupuleti kickstarted her acting career on Sun TV, playing Supriya in the Tamil Series Vamsam (2010) from 2013 to 2015. She then played the role of Devika Moorthy in Vani Rani (2013) and Dhivya in Maragatha Veenai (2014). From 2014 to 2015, Pasupuleti was part of the TV series Andal Azhagar (2014) alongside actors like Rishikesh and the TV series Uyirmei (2014) with actors like Amala Akkineni. Her first film as a heroine was Masala Padam (2015), which was about bloggers who had to write a winning script about a potboiler. She then played the role of Shobana in the 2016 movie Ko 2 (2016), involving the kidnapping of the chief minister. The same year, she was part of a comedy, Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran (2016), with actor Soori. Her third movie was a Tamil-Malayalam bilingual, Girls (2016), based on illicit relationships. Pasupuleti participated in the third season of Bigg Boss Tamil (2017) as a contestant in 2019. In 2022, she starred in the Telugu mystery crime thriller Highway (2022).
Reshma Pathan is a stunt-woman or body double for almost all film actresses through the 1970s & 80s in Hindi film industry. She joined the industry in 1968, but it wasn't until the early-seventies that she gained recognition for her work, the real break came in 1975 when she worked as body double for Hema Malini in Sholay (1975). That blockbuster made Pathan an overnight celebrity amidst the industry bigwigs. So much so, that she began to be even known as 'The Sholay Girl'.
