Rebekah Cook is an actress, coach, casting director, and script supervisor who has been serving the independent film industry since 2009. Born overseas and educated at home with her four siblings, she lived in Spain for over nineteen years before moving stateside to pursue screen acting. Since her start apprenticing with Advent Film Group, she has worked in eleven different states as cast and/or crew for independent film productions, the first of which was "Alone Yet Not Alone." Her first lead role was as Virginia Page for "In His Steps," a modern adaptation of the acclaimed 19th century novel by the same title. Participating in the casting and production process from both sides has cross-trained her skills, giving her unique insights into the industry. As her schedule allows, she mentors other rising talent through workshops, webinars, and individual coaching online. Both on and off of film sets, her heartfelt calling is to share God's extravagant love with those around her.

As a Neurodiverse Director Rebekah advocates for more inclusivity in film and TV for creatives, cast and crew with both seen and unseen disabilities. After gaining a BA and MA in Drama Rebekah Began her career as an actor working extensively in theatre and TV. In 1997 Rebekah began to direct theatre and set up the critically acclaimed, Arts Council funded theatre company Negativeequity with writer Peter Machen, which toured nationally until 2005. After undertaking several filmmaking courses and shadowing some inspirational Directors including David Yates she moved into film direction. Rebekah set up production company Seahorse Films in 2011 with longtime collaborator and writer Peter Machen to develop a slate of films that combine creativity with commerciality, and that actively encourage more opportunities for women both in front and behind the camera. Something Blue was her first short film which was selected for film festivals around the world, it was also selected by Channel 4 for their shooting gallery. In 2017 Rebekah's micro-budget debut feature "Just Charlie" was released to critical acclaim, receiving many awards including The Audience Award at Edinburgh International Film Festival and the Cannes Film Festival Ecrans Junior Award it has appeared in festivals worldwide and was nominated for 2 BIFA's. Just Charlie secured international distribution in the USA, Canada, China, Taiwan, and Theatrical Release extensively in Europe. Just Charlie was ***** rated on Sky Cinema where it premiered on 16/04. The film has received exceptional reviews around the world. Rebekah received funding from BFI for a short film "Pennywort" which, combines live-action and animation to tell the story of a young woman with ASD which will be released later this year and has also received BFI development funding to create a feature based on the same themes . Rebekah has several other projects at various stages of development, including "Barren" a post apocalyptic female-driven Western Along with several TV series. She has mentored for BFI Network, appeared as a panelist at numerous film festivals, is a member of BAFTA Crew and Directors UK
