Raúl Martínez was born in 1971 in Ciudad de México, México. Having worked in the advertising industry for thirty years, he had the breakthrough opportunity to direct the comedy The Patriarch (2016) for Panorama Global. Since then, he has directed four other films: The Waiter (2019), Cuando Sea Joven (2019), Grumpy Christmas (2020) and Permitidos (2021).
