Richard de Klerk stars with Lin Chi-Ling and Liu Ye in Rain Li's directorial debut film Beijing, New York, a love triangle that reaches across time, cultural and language divides. He can be seen in CBGB, the Hilly Kristal biopic, where he stars alongside Alan Rickman, and plays the ever-present sound engineer of the famous New York City Bowery CBGB Club; birth place of numerous legendary Punk bands. De Klerk not only starred in the supernatural thriller Repeaters but also produced the film through his production company Rampart Films. It premiered at the prestigious 2010 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) as a Special Presentation and shortly after was invited back to Toronto to open the Rendezvous with Madness Film Festival starting a dialogue about mental health. He was nominated for a Leo for this film. In 2009, de Klerk also starred in the award winning film Cole also premiering at TIFF and invited to the Moscow International Film Festival where it received a Special Jury Critics award. He received a 2010 Leo Award nomination for "Best Lead Performance by a Male in a Feature Length Drama" for his portrayal of the title role. De Klerk has appeared on the big and small screen in many challenging roles. He received the "Best Actor" Award in the UK for his starring role in the feature film Part of the Game. He has had guest starring roles on some of television's most popular shows including "The Listener", "Cedar Cove", "Stargate SG-1," "Supernatural," "Andromeda," "Cold Squad" and more. His other big screen credits include Emmy Award winning Bang Bang You're Dead and multi award-winning Mr. Rice's Secret along side David Bowie. In addition to being an actor, which is his passion, he is Senior Vice President, part owner and the Development Executive of Rampart Films; a Vancouver and Los Angeles based Production Company whose mission is to produce commercially viable, thought provoking feature films and documentaries.

Richard de Maaré
Richard de Maaré was born in Schoorl, North Holland, Netherlands 1972. Sinds the early 90's Richard has been working as an actor and gained a broad range of acting experience. Music and theatre is part of his roots. His father was a photographer, his grandfather was a script writer, director and actor at the Dutch theatre 'Stadsschouwburg Utrecht' and his great-grandfather was involved as a musician at the 'Concertgebouw Amsterdam' from the opening back in 1888 and for many years after. In 1984 at age 12 Richard played his first starring role in a student film. In the past 25 years he has gained a wide experience with many diverse assignments for television and film, among others. Including a starring role in one of the Dutch popular youth films "House of Anubis" and a supporting role in the popular Dutch television series 'Hollands Hoop'. Richard also gained a wide experience behind camera's, such as camera and light assisting, grip, directing, producing and since the existence of his founded and operated platform ActorsSpot in 2013, he is occasionally asked as a casting director and assisting in casting processes.
Richard van Weyden
Richard van Weyden was born in Heiligenwald/Saar in 1966. Due to his father's work (a collier and specialist for welding technology), he spent the first years of his childhood in Nancy, Hamburg, Berlin, Hong Kong and Cape Town until his school enrollment in Frankfurt am Main. He quit school went to Rome and worked for several month as a shoeshine boy in a shoe-store. Nevertheless, he spent most of his time in the cinema watching movies. Back in Germany he joined different independent actor ensembles, touring the Repuplic of Germany, Austria and Switzerland whilst working as a prop master, light-tone technician, scene painter. He went to Paris for a while and lived in an artist commune. In 1986 Michael Cacoyannis (Alexis Sorbas) discovered him in the actor's canteen at the Staedtischen Buehnen Frankfurt, instructed him and immediately gave him a part in his opera production of Iphigenia. This special experience led to the decision to become an actor and a time of education to many different places followed. Since then he works as an actor for cinema, TV and theatre and also lent his voice to commercials and to famous characters (Conan, Sherlock Holmes, Cars, Pirates of the Caribbean...) for computer-games in Germany. In his free time, he writes short story's, sketches unusable furniture, works as a sculptor and painter and improves upon his English, French and Italian language skills.
