She has received numerous Awards including the Madame Menka Award, Rukmini Arundale Award, Pandit Jasraj Award, Shingar Mani, Tarang Padma Award and the Sant Sarvadnya Dasopant Nrutya Ratna Award. She has performed at many prestigious festivals in India and has had successful tours in Europe and in USA. She started her career as an actress in Ramanand Sagar's TV Series, Shri Krishna and then graduated to more challenging roles. Some of her notable performances include Alif Laila, Sansar, Milan Mahal and Chanakya. She has performed in dramas like Zara Muskura Do, Kusum Manohar Lele and Kiski Biwi Kiska Shauhar. She serves as faculty at Bharata College of Performing Arts. She is a recognized examiner for Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Miraj, Maharashtra and Khiragarh University.
