Lewis is a genuine, gentle giant. A working class character actor with excellent comic timing. Lewis has a distinctive voice and bags of enthusiasm. He is autistic and has ADHD. Lewis was born and grew up in Birkenhead in the North West of England UK. He attended St Mary's Catholic College in Wallasey and did a wide range of amateur stage productions when he was a child. Whilst doing this he trained as a professional improviser and toured the UK doing Long-form Improvisation with the aim of getting as much experience as possible. Lewis was a member of The Everyman Youth Theatre and he also attended The City of Liverpool College where he obtained a HND in acting. Lewis was then head hunted by the Liverpool Everyman to be their first Ignition artist where he would stay for two years as an actor in residence. His first professional play was Cartoonopolis which was a one man show about his Autistic brother Jack. Lewis wrote and performed this play in various large scale theatre's around the UK including the Dorfman Theatre at the National Theatre. In 2018, Lewis auditioned to be a member of the BBC Radio drama company and was selected as the winner of the Norman Beaton Fellowship, where he would voice various lead roles in over 45 radio drama's. In 2019 Lewis was immediately cast in JOLT with Kate Beckinsale and went to Bulgaria to shoot the film. He then came back to Liverpool to play the Lead in the play Knee Deep In Promises on stage. During the pandemic Lewis Co-wrote his first narrative short film Ryan Can't Read with writer director Rhys Chapman and is being produced in conjunction with Academy Award® winning film production company Slick Films. This Short is in preproduction and is being cast by Des Hamilton. Lewis will be playing the title role Ryan in this narrative short film Lewis is soon to be working on, ITV'S on going crime drama Unforgotten.

The son of voiceover actor Allen Swift, Lewis J. Stadlen began his own career by studying with Sanford Meisner and Stella Adler. At 19, Stadlen was cast as Mendel in the touring company of Fiddler on the Roof. He made his 1969 Broadway debut as Julius Marx (Groucho Marx) in the musical comedy Minnie's Boys. Notably, Stadlen appeared in 1974 in the revival of Leonard Bernstein's Candide (Pangloss, etc.) for which he was nominated for a Tony Award. Devoting much of his time to the stage, Lewis J. Stadlen has, in recent years, performed in the national company of Guys and Dolls (Nathan Detroit), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Senex, Tony Award nomination) and in the Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of The Man Who Came to Dinner (Banjo, Drama Desk Award nomination). In the 2001-02 season, Mr. Stadlen appeared in Neil Simon's play 45 Seconds From Broadway. He has continued to perform on television and on stage.
