Named Outstanding Performing Artist of Windsor Ontario, Canada, Leslie McCurdy, has been performing for many years in Southwestern Ontario and the Mid-Western United States, a privilege her dual US/Canadian citizenship affords her. Also a teacher, with an honors B.F.A. in dance from the University of MIchigan, Leslie was slated to go to New York to apprentice with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre when she literally tripped, fractured her hip, and fell into acting. While she has many theatre credits, Leslie is best known for the two one-woman plays that she wrote and has toured with internationally for 15 years. The Spirit of Harriet Tubman was a finalist for a Canadian Chalmers Award for Best New Play for Young Audiences, though it is a play for all ages, and her second play Things My Fore-Sisters Saw, about four Black women who impacted Canadian History, was featured on the Canadian Bravo Network. A two-person adaptation of the latter play entitled Voice of the Fore-Sisters was commissioned by Black Theatre Workshop in Montreal Quebec for one of its more successful school tours. Leslie has also written a version of Harriet Tubman's story for the kindergarten through grade two age range called Harriet is My Hero. Leslie has recently returned to her dance roots and is a member of Dance Nonce, a modern dance company based in Grosse Point Michigan.

After that win photographers then sponsored her in many other contests in which she was often successful, including "Miss Los Angeles" in the "Miss Universe Contest", "Miss Hawaii in the "Miss World Pageant" and consequently won a trip around the world with "Miss Universe". She ended up in the Philippines and was asked to marry into the Marcos family. She did not but came back to Hollywood to pursue her modeling career. She wrote about her adventures through the book "Kept Women" and is currently writing the film script. Through writing her book, she had a change of life-style and turned to religion. She is now a television and film producer who has produced the feature, "Hometown Legend" and currently is in production on "Day of Miracles", about the testimonies of the survivors of the 9/11 attacks. She is also the host and producer of "Starpower" (a celebrity-driven show about their passions, such as their favorite charities, causes and advice to young people. Her most recent series is "Real Miracles".

Leslie Meisel was born in Philadelphia. Her parents moved to South Florida when Leslie was a year old. After graduating with honors in Theatre from the University of Florida she moved to New York and started studying with Martin de Maat at the Second City NYTC. She then auditioned and became a cast member in The Second City Business Theatre New York Company. She continued her improv training at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and performed on two improv Harold house teams. Her first one-woman show "You Never Know" premiered at The PIT (People's Improv Theatre) in March of 2005 and was listed as "One of the best shows of 2005" alongside Doubt, Pillowman, and Jersey Boys. Her most recent show "Love Can Suck A D**k...And So Can I!" - which was co-created with Megan Neuringer - sold out at UCBTLA and had a hit year long run at UCBTNY.
