Lee Chang-Dong was born in 1954 in Daegu, which some consider the most right-wing city in South Korea. Lee is a former high-school teacher and an acclaimed novelist. He turned to cinema when he was over 40 years old. His debut film "Green Fish" (1997) brought immediate success and critical acclaim. "Peppermint Candy" (2000), seemingly having the same 'lost innocence' theme as his former work, shoots fiery criticisms against the still-powerful remnants of the Korean military dictatorship regime. Lee Charles
Lee Charles was born in Birkenhead, Wirral in Merseyside, England. Martial Arts has always been a major factor of his life ever since he first saw a Bruce Lee movie. He began training at 6 years old, first in Shotkan Karate. Before discovering his love for the Martial Arts, Lee had always been very athletic. He was an outstanding football competitor and played for Everton, Tranmere and eventually signed with Wrexham. After suffering an injury however, Lee's contract was terminated. Continuing his training in the Martial Arts, Lee expanded his studies to other styles. He became a six-time World Kickboxing Champion. By 2005, he embarked on his journey to the United States to pursue a career in Hollywood. In West Hollywood, Los Angeles, Lee eventually met with one of his idols, the legendary kickboxer, martial artist, actor and choreographer Benny Urquidez. This meeting began Lee's true path to stardom. Through Benny "The Jet", Lee was invited to the Lee Strasburg Theatre and Film Institute. There, he began his formal training in acting and stunt work. He soon became a member of Benny's stunt team. Debuting in 2008, Lee has worked in films including Dracula Untold (2014), Viking Destiny (2018) and The Marine 6: Close Quarters (2018).
Lee Chen
Lee Chen was born as Li Hui on February 17, 1963 in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia of China. She toured with Chairman Mao Zedong's Communist Propaganda Performance Troupe in Inner Mongolia region through out her elementary school years. Then she got her BA in English Language and was one of the founding year graduate students in Chinese and American Studies Center of Johns-Hopkins University and Nanjing University. Later she came to the U.S.to earn a MA in Education and a MFA in Theatre. She studied acting with Jeremy Piven's parents Byrne and Joyce Piven at the Piven Workshop Theatre. She had been in many theatre and dance productions in Chicago, Honolulu and Los Angeles. She wrote and performed her original one woman show "Life Flies" and toured it in Honolulu and Los Angeles area. She left acting for nine years (2001-2010) to raise her two sons and teaching English to new immigrants. She came back to act in film/TV in 2011, since then, she has guest starred and co-starred in TV shows Good Trouble, VEEP, The Morning Show, Gentefied, Arrested Development, Girl Meets World, NCIS: Los Angeles and TNT's "Southland" among others. At the same time, she has appeared as lead and supporting characters in many independent features and short films including features "We Broke Up", "DOE", "Midlife" "Love Arcadia" and short films "Justice for Vincent" has earned her several Best Actress awards; "Dancing for You" won her a Best Supporting Actress award. Because of her bilingual ability (Chinese Mandarin), she has played all kinds of characters but branded out naturally as a Chinese Mom both in drama and comedy.
