Leann Lei was born and raised in China. Her father was a high school math teacher; her mother, an entrepreneur and a homemaker. She has a younger brother and a younger sister. Leann received classical music training, singing opera, playing piano, from XingHai Music College in GuangZhou, China; Franz Schubert Conservatorium in Vienna, Austria and University of Kentucky in the USA. She received her Master of Arts' degree from Northern Kentucky University. She speaks Mandarin, English, Cantonese, and conversational German. Leann taught vocal performance, music, piano and Mandarin in public schools in China and in Kentucky before she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. She has collaborated with many talented filmmakers on dynamic roles in films and TV shows. Leann founded a production company, XLL Entertainment, in 2015. Since then, she has produced many independent short and feature length films. Leann lives in Glendora CA with her husband, James. In her spare time, Leann loves gardening in her backyard, camping, spending time with her family, and singing worship songs at New Heart Foursquare Church.
Leann O'Kasi is an actress of Nigerian and Irish parentage. She was born in Dublin and grew up in London from the age of 5. Her first screen role was appearing as Laila, the female lead in writer Raisah Ahmed's First Light/Creative Scotland short film, Last Order also starring Gangs of New York actor Gary Lewis. Last Order premiered at the Glasgow Film Festival, culminating in a showcase screening at BAFTA London. She played Ms Martens in an episode of the BAFTA winning BBC sitcom Rab. C Nesbitt alongside actor Gregor Fisher with a cameo by singer Susan Boyle. In 2019, Leann appeared in award-winning short film Soul of A Black Woman, premiering at the Atlanta Urban Mediamakers Film Festival, where it won 'Best International Afrofuturism Short.' The film had it's UK Premiere at the London Short Series Festival and opened Women of The Lens Film Festival in London that same year. In 2020, the film was official selection for the San Francisco Black Film Festival and the Charlotte Black Film Festival where it won 'Best Score.' It was official selection for the 2020 BAFTA qualifying British Urban Film Festival on Apple TV. In 2021, Leann appeared in episode 1 of the second series of ITV drama 'Innocent' starring Katherine Kelly, Shaun Dooley and Jamie Bamber.

Murph, her feature-length comedy script, was selected for the 2020 Lab at the Athena Film Festival and finished as a quarter-finalist for the 2019 Academy's Nicholl Fellowship and a semi-finalist in the 2019 Austin Film Festival's screenplay competition. It also won three "best screenplay" awards and a staged reading through the Atlanta Film Festival's page to stage competition.

Leanna is an award-winning playwright, translator, and librettist whose works have been performed internationally. As an actor, her extensive theatre credits have included the world premiere of Carmen Aguirre's The Refugee Hotel and the Canadian premiere of Samuel Beckett's All That Fall. Her plays Schoolhouse, The Vic, For Home and Country, and The Book of Esther are published by Talonbooks. Fluent in French, she has translated many Québec plays from French into English, some of which are published by Playwrights Canada Press. Born in Winnipeg and raised in rural Ontario, she was based in Toronto for many years, but now lives in Vancouver, Canada with her husband, the actor-writer-director Jovanni Sy. They are working on a new play together about Arthur Miller's 1983 trip to China to direct Death of a Salesman in Beijing.
