Her films have been presented and awarded at many international film festivals: Cannes, Berlinale, San Sebastian International Film Festival, Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival, New Horizons International Film Festival, Krakow Film Festival and Gdynia Film Festival - where her film, "Tireless Wanderers", received an Honorary Distinction in 2016. Her full-length debut "Nothing is lost" received very positive reviews. The film was awarded at the "Mlodzi i Film" Koszalin Film Debuts Festival with the Stanislaw Rozewicz for directing and the Youth Jury Award. In 2021, the series "Sexify" for Netflix, of which Kalina is a co-writer and director, will have a premiere.

Kali Prasad Mukherjee was born and brought up in a Bengali family in Jamshedpur, a district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.
