Joshua Riley was born in London, England, UK. Joshua attended the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology for two years at college level, graduating in 2016. Riley made his professional debut in Rupert Goold's production of Richard III at the Almeida Theatre alongside Ralph Fiennes and Vanessa Redgrave. The show subsequently toured Croatia for the Kazaliste Ulysses festival created by actor Rade Serbedzija.

Joshua Ritter was trained at Ramapo College of New Jersey where he graduated with a double BA in Acting and Literature.
