Born to an Italian physician and raised in Rome, Giuseppe Russo started out as a classical pianist and prodigy at the age of 8. Russo began taking acting classes with Carlo Merlo at Art Clesis Rome Academy, and with Beatrice Bracco who taught him Stanislavsky technique tools. He continued his course of studies with Claudio Boccaccini, Annamaria Cianciulli (Meisner Method), Kenneth Avery-Clark (American Musical Theater Academy of London) and Bernard Hiller. In his native country of Italy, he is well known for his numerous performances on popular television shows and films. His theatrical career thus far has included a plethora of leading roles, garnering critical acclaim. In 2011, Giuseppe won CTR's Angelo Perugini "Best Actor" award for his performance in the Italian production of Tango.
