Darbi Worley is a New York based actress who finally left her day job. Darbi grew up in Minneapolis, where she appeared in over 20 stage productions, playing a diverse set of roles ranging from the title role in Winnie the Pooh to Maria in West Side Story to Elaine in Arsenic and Old Lace. After college, she sensibly got a day job in sales and following a few tortured months in suits and pantyhose, she not so sensibly quit that job to go sing in a rock band. During this time, Darbi worked as a session vocalist at Prince's renowned recording facility, Paisley Park Studios and appeared in a music video directed by the Purple One. Her dazzling smile and contagious energy earned her multiple commercial appearances as well as her first starring role in a film (playing a cheerleader, natch). A winding path followed, and Darbi held jobs ranging from dog handler to poop shoveler (yes, really!) to award-winning CareerBuilder.com sales rep, but eventually she found her way to Austin, Texas and back into acting. While in Austin, she completed a starring role in the independent feature, "The Krone Experiment," and voiced roles in the video games, "Starlancer" and "Conquest: Frontier Wars." Darbi was also seen in multiple commercial roles and earned her SAG card shivering in a bikini while shooting a national spot for American Airlines in December. Shortly thereafter, Darbi made the move to New York City. She made her NYC stage debut in "Design Your Kitchen" with the award-winning Bat Theater Company at The Flea Theater. There she had the great honor of assisting with the development of AR Gurney's hit comedy, "Mrs. Farnsworth (starring Sigourney Weaver, John Lithgow and Danny Burstein). Darbi appears on "All My Children" occasionally and is a regular contributor to the NBC series, "House Smarts." She has played ladies of the night on "Rescue Me" and the History Channel series, "Breaking Vegas" (currently airing in repeats). Darbi can be seen and heard in a slew of commercials and industrials, both on-camera and voice-over. She is also the voice of "Conversations with Carlos Watson," on NBC and "Demanded" on Music Choice. She is a graduate of the two-year program at The Esper Studio, where she studied under Terry Knickerbocker. Darbi's favorite project is Shoot the Messenger with Lizz Winstead. This weekly satire of the week's news plays every Monday night at The Green Room at 45 Bleecker. Darbi also spends a hell of a lot of time in the gym and is a black belt in karate.
