Daniella Dela Peña is a Toronto based Filipina-Canadian actress, singer, and creator who has recently graduated from the joint Theatre and Drama Studies Program at the University of Toronto and Sheridan College. As an artist with no limits, Daniella's involvements within the entertainment industry have been accelerating through recent works in theatre, film, and new media. As a first generation immigrant, she is passionate about merging her artistry with her Filipino culture that has heavily influenced her identity today. Since a young age, Daniella's love for performing has bloomed through various mediums. Thanks to a push of tough love from her parents, she has been fortunate to have training in ballet, piano, and conservatory singing. From then on, she has grown a craving for more opportunities to place herself in the spotlight. Since then, she has diligently been searching for new ways to showcase her talents through various forms of entertainment. Within the time of her theatrical studies, Daniella has had the pleasure of portraying Athena in The Oresteia (dir. Tyler J. Seguin), and being a collaborative creator for The Places We Are (dir. Rob Kempson) and Hello Girls (dir. Maggie Kennedy). Most recently, she had the privilege of voicing Jinx in the world premiere of David Yee's hair raising play, and the first ever Theatre Erindale audio series, the cecil hotel directed by multiple Dora Mavor Moore award-winning Nina Lee Aquino. To close her post-secondary experience, Daniella was cast in a Swinging 60's virtual adaptation of The Roaring Girl directed by Samantha Wilson. Outside of her education, she has also been writing a new play with The Disconnect(ed) Collective alongside Carlos Bulosan Theatre. You can also spot Daniella in her first ever film for Hallmark's Two For The Win. With an eager drive to take on new successes, Daniella is looking forward to growing as an artist as she continues to make discoveries about herself and this industry of endless possibilities. Daniella is the older sister of Diana Kate Dela Peña who is a retired gymnast and two-time Eastern Canadian Champion. Her parents are Zosimo (Bay) and Elisa Dela Peña who immigrated to Toronto from the Philippines in the late 1990s. Fun fact: they are a year a part, but have the same birthday!
