Colby has been labeled a formidable "Triple Threat" Nationally and Internationally. She credits Peggy Alston, the Emeritus Director of the BSRCAC with being the very first Triple Threat she ever met in a formal setting who ignited a spark in her and the Billie Holiday Theatre (Emeritus Director Marjorie Moon) as the home theatre where she got her theatre start. After sold old performances at the Billie Holiday Theatre as "Alice" in the "Liberation of Mother Goose" and upon receiving the AUDELCO Award at the age of 13 for excellence in Black Theater, Colby Christina joined the ranks of Denzel Washington, Kerry Washington and Sanaa Latham who also received the AUDELCO "Rising Star" Award. To her credit Colby Christina has accomplished many "first" in the Arts and in Academia and is the recipient of more than 150 Awards, Citations, Proclamations and Honors, a considerable amount of them before the age of 13. Colby has been honored twice, with the NAACP "Legacy Award" & prior to that received the NAACP "Youth Award", was honored by the King of Kings Foundation with the "A Star Has Risen Award" (This Award Will Be Given Annually & has Been Officially Named the "Colby Christina a Star Has Risen Award), honored by the Trey Whitfield School Foundation as a "Academic Honoree" & Colby was Honored by the Young, Gifted and Black Corporation with the "Nina Simone Entrepreneurship & Creativity Award". There is also a New York State Senate Resolution (J893) issued on the New York State Senate floor in her name and in her honor on March 3, 2017. Colby has been featured in dozens of publications inclusive of the Huffington Post where they highlighted her campaign, "THINK BIG, DREAM BIG AND SOAR!", which she developed since there is a clear need to encourage, market and promote excellence for Teens & Tweens in the Arts. Colby has also been featured on the cover of the Winter/Spring 2017 edition of Black Masks Magazine , the Spring edition of Dream Teen Magazine, the June 2019 Cover of SapphirEmerald Magazine, the Thanksgiving edition of Sista's Keeper Magazine, Trendsetters to Trendsetters Magazine and Level 21 Magazine to name a few. Colby Christina has performed Center Stage at the Brooklyn Academy of Music as a Feature Performer in Dance Africa with Emeritus Artistic Director and Founder, Dr. Baba Charles "Chuck" Davis and Artistic Director, Abdel Salaam, the Billie Holiday Theatre, the Museum of Natural History, the Waldorf Astoria New York and Black Spectrum Theatre to name a few. Colby has also played lead roles in the "Emancipation of Grandpa Sandy Wills" - a historical biopic, "Josephine's Cotton - The Revue" - a tribute to Josephine Baker, "Leaves" - a family tragedy and other theatrical productions. Colby recently appeared on March 14, 2019, in the Book now a Movie "Looking in the Mirror" by Author & Executive Producer, Roslyn B. Jones with Film Directors James Hunter & Derrick Hammond in the lead role of "Teen Roslyn".
