Mona Lee Fultz, a Julliard-trained film actress and teacher who works with Cody in Austin, Texas describes him as "distinctly authentic, intelligent, handsome, and fun to be around. He's reminiscent of a young Kyle Chandler." Cody grew up in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida, and spent much of his childhood observing his family indulge in their creative passions. Some of Cody's earliest memories are of sitting on the beach with his father, Don, watching him draw and paint the local landscape and wildlife. He remembers spending hours seated next to his grandmother while she played classic and contemporary pieces on her piano. It didn't take long for Cody to realize his own natural creative tendencies toward acting, which he channeled through his involvement in his community and high school theater. In 2018 he moved to New York City to get his graduate degree in City Planning from Hunter College, and continued developing his acting skills in the classroom at Actors Connection NYC, and in front of the camera in more student and short films. By the time the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent shutdown arrived, Cody had amassed an acting resume of several short films and a solid base of formal acting training. Cody's feature film debut came in 2021, when he starred as Alex in the independent drama Three Headed Beast, a film that explores contemporary approaches to sex, love, and boundaries. About his character and work in the film, Cody said: "My favorite part about Alex is that you can't tell if he's the good guy or the bad guy. It was a fun challenge to play such a nuanced, messy character." Cody lives in Austin, Texas where he continues to train in film acting and work in the vibrant Austin indie scene. Outside of acting he enjoys journaling, reading, hiking, and doing anything on or near the water. He travels as much as possible, often visiting his close friends in New York and his family back home in Florida. He looks forward to continuing to work in the film industry.
