Claire Garvey is an English actress. Garvey grew up in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Her father was a Coal Miner while her mother was a Nurse and they have been happily married for over 30 years. She has one younger brother. After St Mary's RC School, Garvey attended St Martins Lancaster to read Drama and Ethics and graduated with a 2:1. While studying Drama, she appeared in plays, including Anthony's Nielsons, Stitching in which she played the title role, and, the Changeling at the Dukes theatre. After studying Garvey took a gap year to travel around the world and whilst in India found herself in a Bollywood movie.
