He deepened his craft with the Meisner technique at "The International School of FIlm and Television" in San Antonio de Los Baños, Cuba where he studied under the guidance of Stephen Baily and Maria Gowland. He is currently training with actors Clark Middleton and Ewen Bremner at Apt 929 Tony Torn Studios, legacy of Geraldine Page. He began a very promising career in film and television in projects such as "The Squad" directed by Jaime Osorio Marquez and "Rosario TIjeras". His extended film career and his work makes him an important reference in the Colombian cinema. He recently co-starred in the Netflix show "El Chapo".

Alejandro Akara is a Mexican-American television and film actor based in Los Angeles, California. Originally from El Paso, Texas, Alejandro grew up in Monterrey, Mexico.
