Alberto Serra

Alberto Serra, Film & Tv Director and Producer, began his career at an early age in advertising and production services. His cinema studies took him to United States, Brazil and the Czech Republic. Upon his return to Panama in 2004, he founded WP Films, a now 14 year old production company for TV and Cinema alike. WP Films started out with TV productions and then moved on to providing production services for the US, Germany and Canada. In 2007, Alberto made his first independent Film "La Isla del Diablo, Coiba" documentary which was nominated in the Latin Film Festival in Paris, France. Also released his first film co-production "Historias del Canal" in 2014 with participation in many Festivals around the world, Now in 2017 presenting the documentary "La Fuerza del Balón" that shows the difficult path for Panama soccer players to reach a professional level, also in November 2017 will Premiere "Piedra Roja" a Feature drama which is a call to action for Child abuse. For 2018 we are preparing a Horror Film based on Panamenian country side folk stories call "The Farm".
