Alan was born in Tehran, Iran. In the early 70s he started watching films on TV and going to the movies with his father. It was then that his admiration for film and acting blossomed. In The summer of 1976 after seeing "Taxi Driver"(1975), "Dog Day Afternoon" (1975), and "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" (1975), he was persuaded to follow his dream of becoming an actor. At the age of 16 he moved to Redlands, California to finish High School. After High School while attending San Bernardino Valley College he started taking acting classes. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Minor in Theater Arts from Cal State of Dominguez Hills he got accepted to study acting more professionally at The legendary acting school "The Loft Studio", home of actors such as " Sean Penn (I), Michelle Pheiffer, Johnny Depp, Chris Penn,Eric Stoltz, Nicolas Cage and many others taught by legendary acting teachers the late 'Peggy Feury' and 'William Traylor'. After Peggy Feury and William Traylor's passing, he went on to study with Stella Adler, Robert Lewis and Susan Peretz. His TV and Film work include The Insider (1999), Terrorist On Trial (1988), Live From Baghdad (2006) , The Shield (2006) , America So Beautiful (2001), among a few others. Ally also has a deep passion for music, cooking and traveling.
