April Monique Burril was born in Springfield, Vermont and has spent most of her life living in Maryland, on the shore of the Chesapeake Bay with her husband, JimmyO Burril and their two daughters. Training as a visual artist and as a dancer since childhood, these skills brought her to the stage with the theatre company, Jamo, in 1997, where she worked with writer/director JimmyO Burril, whom she later married. To promote Jamo's shows in the media, the two created a horror hostess character - Chainsaw Sally. Eventually, they evolved into filmmaking, bringing Jamo's most popular horror musical, Silver Scream, to film. Meanwhile, the Chainsaw Sally character had grown a fanbase and popularity of her own, making a film starring this slasher the next natural step. Since then, April has portrayed Chainsaw Sally in several shows, as well as at various horror conventions and other events. In addition to her work as Sally, April has also developed a career as a fusion style bellydancer. She performs and teaches her craft in the mid-Atlantic area. She also organizes and runs a quarterly bellydance show in Havre de Grace, Maryland in the Cultural Center at the Opera House. Besides her work in film, she continues performing on stage as a core member and resident bellydancer for the Rogue Swan Theatre Company.
