Lee Ann Kurr

Lee Ann Kurr (she/her) is a screenwriter and director based in Burbank, CA. She comes from a classical theatre background, having studied and performed with the London Dramatic Academy, the American Shakespeare Center, and the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. Her work is female-forward with diverse character ensembles, using genre to heighten a coming-of-age narrative. Her feature script Persephone, a re-imagining of the Greek myth, was a 2019 Academy Nicholl Fellowship Semifinalist. Lee Ann's first feature Student Body, starring Christian Camargo, Montse Hernandez, and Harley Quinn Smith, is represented by MPX Films and will be released in 2021.
