Josy Issac
Known for his rather authoritarian and straight forward performances with an inner conflict driven by a restlessness and paranoia, Josy is a German/Indian actor of stage and screen whose real-life spirituality, openness and curiosity are at times at odds with his on-screen clean cut looking personas. As a polyglot he is able to speak multiple languages (English, German, Spanish, Mandarin, Malayalam, French) which he uses also in his work.
Most of his work was done in Singapore where he is mostly known for roles in the award-winning Channel 5 Drama series "Tanglin" and "There was a time in Singapore" and worked with Japanese Director Yu Irie as well as Director Boon Jun Feng in his movie "Apprentice" which was a Cannes Selection in 2016.
In 2021 Josy was cast as main character in the German Illusions-Musical "Das verschollene Bild" which toured through Germany and was staged in locations such as the Variete in Leipzig. This allowed Josy as well to make use of his baritone singing voice.
