Gokhan Kaya

Gökhan Kaya is a Turkey-based 23 years old film director. He has made five short films so far. Gökhan is also a master's student who is working on his thesis topic, Simulation Theory and Self-Orientalism. His fifth film "Give Me A Lighter" that is about the submarine disaster which occurred in 1953 won 7 awards in both national and international film festivals. The film which is continuing its festival journey, has so far been featured in 19 festivals, 5 workshops and 4 international market catalogs. Besides that, the film "Give Me a Lighter" is the first short film in the world which is featured in VOD platforms such as iTunes and Apple TV.
