Hing Weng Eric Tsang is a Hong Kong-based filmmaker and artist, and author of Tales of Honey: A Collection of Interviews with Post-80s Directors from the Greater China (2015). Eric's short film A Thousand Sails (2019) was selected by Sundance Film Festival 2020 and won the 2019 Sundance Film Festival Hong Kong Short Film Competition Jury Award . Another short film The Umbrella (2018) earned several awards including the Edward Snowden Award at the 17th Festival International Signes de Nuit - Paris. His experimental dance video Meeting with the Monk (2018) was exhibited in the National Art Museum of China. Eric is now preparing for his debut feature film, The Winter Solstice.
